JOURNEY OUT OF POVERTY

Stories of 8 KKI members in achieving their dreams

FOUNDERS

KKI Founders consist of dedicated, young professionals who left private sector to serve the poor.

LENOARDO KAMILIUS

Founder, ex-CEO

Pior to setting up KKI, Leon worked at McKinsey & Co as Business Analyst. After briefly volunteered during Padang earthquake, Leon quit McKinsey & Co as the calling inside him to serve others grew.

LUCYANA SIREGAR

Co-Founder, Current CEO

Lucy is KKI’s co-founder since 2011, when she had just graduated from Faculty of Economics, University of Indonesia. Prior to KKI, she had only worked for 6 months at Sinarmas Land, a major property group in the country.

KKI was founded by Leonardo Kamilius in 2011, with Lucyana Siregar as co-founder. At 25, they had a strong calling to make significant positive impacts to help others in need. Leon and Lucy started by learning and adopting Grameen model, pioneered by Mohammad Yunus who won a Nobel Prize for developing microcredit.

TESTIMONIAL

Nanik J. Santoso
Director of PT Ciputra Surya Tbk

Prijono Tjiptoherijanto
Guru Besar Universitas Indonesia

President Commissioner Harita Sec.

I recently introduced KKI to YPO Indonesia Chapter, an organization in which I participate. We visited the homes of KKI’s borrowers in Cilincing where we listened to their successful life-changing journeys since joining KKI. It was an eye-opener for all of us and we are truly proud of what KKI has achieved. Indeed, Mimpi Itu Mungkin. I am thrilled to be continuing to support KKI. May KKI continue its success in empowering more women and their families in reaching their dreams.
