After a group of members settled their outstanding loan, Koperasi Kasih Indonesia tries to assess the impact of the loan. Out of the many dimensions, Koperasi Kasih Indonesia measure the impact by observing the level of change in income and spending of its members.

From financial education – spending management module

  • % with lower snack spending: 20% (during the training period)
  • Average decrease in spending: ~0.2-0.5

From loan:

  • % with increased income: 70% (note: it is not conclusive that increase in income is driven by the loan)
  • Average increase in income: ~0.5-1 USD (20-30% of base income)
